Instructional Design/Conceptualization
Often, our clients know exactly what they need and come to Jump Start with standards correlations, project maps, and complex processes already in place. Other times, Jump Start puts these pieces together from scratch. In these situations our depth of content expertise—and years of experience—allow us to shift burdens away from the client.

Project Management
Once we understand your needs and requirements, we can execute your vision with little day-to-day supervision. This frees your in-house editorial staff to focus its time on other issues. Whether a client requires manuscript for a 96-page student workbook or development, writing, and production for a multi-component basal project, Jump Start manages every project with ease and transparency.

Content Development
Jump Start is staffed only with knowledgeable, experienced content developers and editors. The Jump Start staff you talk to during those initial sales calls are the same people who work on your projects.

Areas of Expertise

•  We are primary grade specialists in all curriculum areas. We know how primary-grade children learn, and we know the K–2 curricula for reading/language arts, math, science, and social studies. Over the years, Jump Start has performed editorial and content development services for various K–2 basal programs for reading, math, science, language arts, social studies, health, and art.

•  We have a secondary specialty in intervention, hi-lo, and ELL/ESL materials. We know how to unpack concepts and break down difficult skills for English Language Learners and students who struggle in school.

Design, Production, and Digital Development
Jump Start partners with CAB Graphics and Jersey Cow to provide production/design services and digital development, respectively. Jump Start also maintains a stable of specialty freelancers including indexers, translators, fact-checkers, and technology consultants to meet the particular needs of each project.
